Instrument path

Vocal

Demo preview. The lesson paths, fees, and saved progress on this site are not the school's final offer.

A tanpura and a singing bowl with marigolds

A first path for the voice. You start with a comfortable hum, then match three notes the teacher sings, then learn one short phrase: the words, then the tune, then the tune on the beat. Nothing in this path asks for a high, loud note. Volume and range come after the pitch sits still.

First lessons. You do not need to read music.

Instrument film · 0:12A short demo film for this instrument. It is not a teacher on camera. Each lesson below has its own film.

You will learn

  • Hum one pitch without pushing
  • Match three notes the teacher sings
  • Speak a phrase, then sing it
  • Keep the phrase on a slow beat
  • Sing one short verse with the class recording

At home

  • A quiet corner
  • Headphones, so you can hear the teacher without shouting
  • A phone or a laptop for Zoom
