Lesson 01

Find middle C

Demo preview. The lesson paths, fees, and saved progress on this site are not the school's final offer.

Sit at the keyboard and place the right-hand thumb on middle C.

In class

Sit square to the keys, name the groups of two and three black keys, and put the thumb on middle C.

After this lesson you can

  • Sit without hunching over the keys
  • Spot middle C from the black-key groups
  • Play C with the thumb and lift it cleanly
